- Professor Robert McMillen shows you how to get ctrl alt del to work in Remote Desktop on Windows 10.
- If you face a problem you can see this video.
- Note: Keyboard shortcuts (e.g. Copy/paste) have to be used with the keys that are valid on the remote device's operating system. For example copy on MacOS with CMD+C, but paste on Windows with CTRL+V.
Teamviewer Control Alt Delete Server
TeamViewer injects a virtual keyboard driver into the OS, so from the OS's perspective TeamViewer could be sending a completely valid CTRL-ALT-Delete key sequence. I'm not sure if this is the trick they're doing, it would work, but there are likely 'cleaner' ways to accomplish the same thing.

Teamviewer Control Alt Delete Shortcut

Ctrl Alt Del (CAD) does not work with Remote Utilities agent to unlock Windows. I tried using the Windows Viewer and the Android app.
CAD does work with TeamViewer's QS agent so it should work without having to install any host software on the remote.
I did search the forums for a solution but it looks like this has been an issue for quite sometime and it was supposed to have been fixed already. I found a post where someone recommended using the on-screen accessibility keyboard but CAD only works when sitting in front of the remote and using its mouse.
This is a real deal breaker, guys :-(

Thank you for your message. On the remote side, are you using the Host or the Agent? Also, what the operating system on the local and remote side?

Currently, the Agent doesn't support CAD. But we'll see what we can do to implement CAD support for the Agent.
